Car Park Attendant


You will be working as part of a strong and friendly team of experienced Civil Enforcement Officers, ensuring that parking restrictions are adhered to so that our contractual requirements are met and maintained.

What you'll do
Patrol local council car park’s to make sure that regulations are being followed
Record and issue Penalty Charge Notices
Check parking meters and car park equipment and report damage or faults, checking that car parks are clean and tidy
Report defective signs and road markings, identifying and reporting any abandoned vehicles
Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking facilities
Check tickets and attend to minor machine faults
Ability to communicate with customers, often in difficult and demanding circumstances
Explain regulations to motorists and advise them about parking options
Record simple notes and complete pocketbook notes
Work alongside police community support officers to Report incidents, crimes or anti-social behavior
Use equipment such as: Hand-held computers, Two-way radios, mobile phones, cameras to record vehicles that are breaking parking regulations.

What you’ll bring
Customer service experience – Desirable 
Full UK driving license
Strong communication skills
Literate with good written and spoken English
Ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team
Smart appearance
must be happy to work outdoors
Previous parking experience highly desirable

What we'll offer you

45 hours per week Fixed Term until the end of October 2021

£8.96 per hour
